I’ve noticed that spammers, hackers, and web scrapers are using blog directories as a way to easily find blogs to exploit. How do I know this? Well often i get the same spammers and and web scrapers across all my blogs that are in these directories. There is a hacker that went around exploiting some of my sites (not this blog) through a known security flaw (won’t mention what it was). 

These lowlifes are lazy so they find it easier to just go through blog directories where they can easily find blogs to target. This is just something to know if your thinking of having your blog listed in these directories. Another reason is because some use bots to spider sites and they can easily find a list of thousands of blogs by spidering these blog directories.
