Online Feed Bookmarking Sites
You may have noticed my feedburner link on my sidebar to the left. You may or may not have a RSS news aggregator to read feeds. Some don’t want to subscribe by email because they think it may be used for spam(it can’t because I use feedburner which is 3rd party site) or they don’t won’t to be bothered with emails.
There is a 3rd option though. You can also get feed updates through online bookmarking feed sites. Google Reader, My Yahoo, and Bloglines are some examples. With Google Reader when you add a feed, it will show updates of feeds you bookmarked, on the Google homepage. The same can be done for My Yahoo. You can also bookmark your feeds on bloglines, which also includes a technorati styled feed search engine and feed notification system.
The advantages to these feed bookmarking sites, is you don’t need any feed reader software or worry about receiving multiple emails (if you subscribe by email). You also can access your subscribed feeds from any computer because they are bookmarked online.
