I been at this for about a year and half and I’m excited because for me the checks are starting to get big. I just received almost $600 for the last month and half earnings. Realize this is just on ONE affiliate. For the record its not any kind of paid blogging affiliate. In fact its not even an affiliate program that I advertise on this site. Unlike most people who rely on adsense for all of their earnings, this particular affiliate is just a small piece of my pie, but it is my biggest earner among dozens of different ones.

This leads me to 2 points of this post. First off your earnings should go up the more months you work on your websites. Second, you don’t need to rely on Adsense or some other generic pay per click program for all your earnings. I wouldn’t be making anywhere near the money I’m making now, if I just slapped up a bunch of adsense banners on all my sites and thats it. To earn a lot of money from your sites, it takes good affiliate programs, good ad placement, a bit of luck and a lot of research and trial and error.

Once you find a really good affiliate program that converts well for you, treasure it like gold because MOST affiliates don’t convert well. Thats the truth.
