How To Rank Better in Google Image Search
Everyone is so worried about getting their traffic through the main Google search engine, that they forget a lot of searches Going on through Google Image Search. I’ve read from some other bloggers that a significant amount of their traffic was found through Google image search once they learned how to manipulate it.
Google Image Search Ranking Factors:
1) The usual factors such as Pagerank will still be a factor. So don’t expect to be usually on the first few pages of Google image search for competitive keywords, unless you have some authority in the search engines.
2) Put an alt=”" and title=”" tags in your images describing your image. Put the same descriptive keyword(s) inside the name of the image filename and seperate the major keywords with a hyphen(-). Setting the width=”" and height=”" tags in the image url also is said to help with ranking factors.
3) It appears the filename, alt tag, and the context of the page are the most important. If your page has a title or written content with the keyword along with the image, it will help rank you better for image search.
To start getting the benefits of Google image search you can do this by putting a picture in all your blog posts. I often find it a bit of a hassle, so often I never get around to doing it.

Hi,
Exactly. This is great way to improve your image rankings and also your regular rankings. Just be mindful that Google is getting better at detecting and dropping pages that look too smilar machine generated pages without much unique content. So make sure you add a good description to each image and fill out titles etc.
