Most people today still don’t know what RSS or feed readers are all about. I admit, I didn’t even learn what it was all about until I had my blog for a few months. I would imagine the overwhelming majority of RSS subscribers have their own blog or website. Getting RSS subscribers is often a sign of good content. RSS subscribers are the most web savvy and usually the most intelligent.

It would make sense, that a high amount of subscribers means you got something worthwhile to say. Not everyone has things that are worthwhile to say on their blogs, even when they try. I know everyone would like to be a pro-blogger, but some people just don’t have the gift to write well or interesting enough to garner interest and loyal readers. Since most RSS subscribers are webmasters and loyal readers, they will be more likely to give you a backlink from their website, share your blog posts in forums, or vote you at digg.
